What is Progress 8?
Progress 8 estimates how much progress pupils made at the school compared with pupils who had similar prior attainment nationally. A score of zero is around the national average, a positive score is above average and a negative score is below average. Some results also include a confidence interval.
What is Attainment 8?
Attainment 8 is an average GCSE score calculated across eight qualifications. English and mathematics are double-weighted, with additional qualifications drawn from the EBacc and other approved subjects.
What are EBacc entry and achievement?
The English Baccalaureate covers English, mathematics, sciences, a language, and history or geography. Entry measures how many pupils entered the relevant subjects, while achievement measures how many reached the specified grade threshold.
What is the difference between current FSM and FSM Ever?
Current FSM normally describes pupils eligible for free school meals at the relevant census date. FSM Ever, often called Ever 6, includes pupils recorded as eligible at any point during the previous six years.
What are sustained destinations?
Sustained destination measures show what pupils did after Year 11 or sixth form and whether they remained in education, employment or an apprenticeship for a specified period.
Why are some values shown as “n/a”?
A value may not have been published, may have been suppressed because the number of pupils was small, may not apply to that school phase, or may not yet be available for the selected year.
